I am the disinterested advocate for and I will speak for the evidence that cannot speak for itself and that will be within the strict bounds of accepted scientific standards and protocols.

     I voluntarily adhere to the standardized procedures and ethics of the Association of Firearms and Toolmark Examiners..

       If my opinions and conclusions are in agreement with your views then you should expect me to work with full zeal.  If they are at odds with your views then you can decide whether to terminate my services or utilize my findings in another manner. 

       I will do my best to show you how the evidence, or lack thereof,  and the examinations of evidence can best support your position and conversely, where it may hinder it.

     I will also point out where the opposing opinion may have:

          1.     Used tests or procedures that were not  generally accepted standards or procedures.

          2.     Did not report all the results of the tests.

        I reserve the right to refuse any case or to cease work should the retaining party try to influence me or the results of my work. 

ASCLD   (American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors)

     On occasion I am asked about accrediation by ASCLD which is an organization whose members are Directors of Law Enforcement Agency "Crime Labs" that accredit other "crime labs" by inspecting and reviewing case files, security, etc. 

     I am not a law enforcement related lab.

     The information in my case files is highly confidential and may contain classified military data, plaintiff or defense theory or other sensitive information.

     This information is subject to strict confidentiality agreements and will not be accessed nor shared with anyone except my clients. 

     Likewise,  the security measures for my lab and office are strictly proprietary.

    There is only one private firearms lab in the world which is accredited and that individual conducts work for law enforcement agencies.
